This is an ideal reference book for investors and traders. It is a detailed coverage of the taxation treatment of dividends, bonus shares, capital gains tax, capital reconstructions and other detailed market nasties. This does not replace your accountant, but it arms you with the information to help understand what your accountant is talking about. It also tackles the vexed question of the taxation difference between an investor and a trader, including the types of records you will need to prove your case. Although as a trader I pay little attention to the tax consequences of trading decisions, it is useful background material to have. Traders must act quickly, and rarely have the time to consider the tax implications of trading decisions taken in active markets.  This books also covers tax strategies for equity and futures traders.
