This British book is full of broad detail about the UK market. It is designed as an introductory primer and it achieves it purpose very well. From an Australian perspective the contrasts are interesting. Electronic trading based on first in, first out as we know it is limited to just one section of the UK market. The remainder of the market is quote driven. The other contrast is the small number of data suppliers. The London Stock Exchange keeps tight, and expensive, control of market data. This book approaches investing from a fundamental perspective with just one fleeting and inaccurate reference to technical analysis. Useful if you are thinking about trading the UK market. Also discouraging if you are thinking about trading the UK market because it is like stepping back into the Australian market as it was in 1990.
