This is the market traders guide to property. The Australian market does not have REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) which are popular on overseas markets. Instead we have listed property trusts which can be traded like ordinary shares, and property syndicates which operate under a unit trust structure.

The book is a guide to these listed groups and discusses the strengths and weakness, and merits of many of them. This is useful background reading book that brings together information on these two sectors.

 Hewats intention is to bring together the fundamental information about these companies. He is less concerned with examining ways to trade or actively invest in these groups. This makes the book a useful research starting point for those interested in trading property by proxy on the financial market.
