This is not a book about trading, but it is a useful book that shows how trading can be integrated into a broader active retirement strategy. There are no new trading techniques, no advanced charting analysis and not a great deal on selecting the appropriate stocks to trade. All of these areas are covered in more detail in other books. What makes the book interesting is the core concept that retirement is either active or passive. Passive retirement is where your wealth is handed to a wealth manager. One of you gets progressively poorer while the other gets progressively richer through a constant flow of fees and commissions.

Active retirement is the management of your wealth to ensure that it continues to accumulate, even while transferring enough to you to maintain your preferred living style. The book does an excellent job of achieving these objectives.
